Our compass is of excellent quality, with wing and knurled knob for positive locking position. The pencil holder at the tip of the leg ensures stability and accuracy, as well as making nearly any length of pencil usable. The steel pivot point will penetrate the wood surface, and the compass will extend to produce accurate circles up to 20" in diameter. We feel this is a fine tool for the woodcarver.
