The Steady Rest is sewn from top grain leather and filled with dense plastic beads that will not absorb moisture or break down over time. It is designed to give power carvers a solid work holder for smaller items. It is especially good for carving gunstocks and similarly shaped pieces that will not rest solidly on a workbench top.
