ELI CARVING VISE

Secure your carvings with the Eli vise for safer, faster and easier woodcarving. The Eli woodcarvers vise will hold your work securely, allowing both hands to be free to use the mallet or gouge. This is a valuable tool for the woodcarver. The holding vise is designed to withstand the use of a large gouge and heavy mallet and is made of zinc plated steel so it is strong and rust resistant. The vise is light enough to be portable and can be mounted almost anywhere. The vise has quick change release for either left or right hand operation. You have left or right hand control by repositioning the thumb nut and handle. Repositioning the top plate gives forward and reverse capability. The vise has a 360 degree rotation allowing access to all sides of your carving. Your work can be tipped back to near the table or turned upside down to allow work underneath your piece. The Eli carvers holding vise can hold large and small carvings using the 2” or 3” faceplate. Eli Vise Kit includes a vise, 2” faceplate, and a 3” faceplate both with a 3 ¼” stem.

    This thing is Awesome...

I researched carving vices, and found this one to be the best for my needs. I power carve blocks that are about 30" tall and about 12" wide, and so far, this vice is my new friend. I think this was designed by a carver, so it's pretty user friendly. Just one adjustment to move your work in any direction.

Just as described, I do chainsaw carving using echo and stihl chainsaws, this is great for this application of using smaller pieces of wood.. Very sturdy and made-- I mounted mine on a 4inch by 24 inch beam, and then bolted to a Hydraulic Table Cart so I could adjust the height I needed . Great product.. would recommend to all types of wood carvers--
