These products offer another dimension in materials available to the powercarver. They are easy to carve using regular power tools and techniques and although fairly brittle will produce a shaving similar to good boxwood. They are made from cast polyester resin and are available in rod forms in various diameters. Originally developed for the fashion industry as an alternative for high fashion buttons. Other uses such as furniture restoration, bagpipes and flute components, game board chessmen, carvings and small turnings soon evolved for these alternative products. These materials are non-toxic and will carve, bore and thread easily. Uses are limited only by your imagination. Each piece is approximately 6 inches long.
