Hickory makes some fine canes Review by Streetcar76
I have purchased a number of hickory sticks for canes from Treeline. I have always found my order to be well packaged and the sticks themselves as advertised. I use a grinder flap wheel to remove the bark and to get below the brown sapwood. the end result is a shaft of about 1-1/8" in diameter, which is of very fine heart wood, without any checks or cracks. I usually mount a polished brass hame on the top and a brass or rubber tip on the end, all from Treeline.
They sell some fine products and I always get prompt shipment. (Posted on 12/5/08)
