I used a Saburr-Tooth x-coarse burr to rough a 2x5 foot raised relief sign in a doug. fir cant right out of a sawmill. Max depth was 2 1/2", and average depth of cut about 2". It takes plenty of power to drive the cutter, the performance was great, the cutter stayed sharp and didn't load, very happy.
