This was exactly what I was looking for to conceal the joint between the handle and the mesquite shaft of the walking cane I made. Beautifully finished it adds a definite elegance to the cane. On a 1" cane, turning the end of the handle and shaft to 3/4" lets the ferrule fit snugly flush with the wood surface. It adds that 'touch of class' to personalize your work. People refuse to accept the cane was hand made and not purchased. I guess the crushed turquoise inlay around the base of the ferrule and down the shaft helps with the look. This ferrule's the way to go for that finishing touch.
