The Flex Drum Sander is a sanding sleeve over a soft foam pad on an aluminum mandrel. This soft drum sander is excellent for intarsia work as well as for rounding and sanding walking sticks and canes. The sander should be attached to a 1725 RPM motor with either a 5/8 or 1/2 shaft. There is also an optional 1/2 adapter shaft so that the sander will fit in a drill press. The sander is 2 diameter and 7 long and comes with one each of the 80 and 120 grit sleeves. The sanding sleeves now come attached to a foam pad for easier grit changes.
