- Awesome Timesaver!
I was a bit doubtful about this at first, I was sure it wouldn't work right: at the price I paid, it had to be a piece of junk! But I've been dealing with Treeline for a lot of years now, and they've never steered me wrong.
Took a bit of getting used to how this piece handles, but, once I did, I was quite pleased. I alternate using this, when needed, with my Flexshaft, so that the carver has a chance to cool off: it DOES get hot! It gets less so at slower speeds, but I think that getting hot is just the nature of this particular beast!
It beats my "traditional" carving knives most times, and I haven't bled all over it the way I do the knives, either. Works very well, still, after almost 2 years, and the price was fabulous!
(Also, as an aside to the gentleman above, with the 30-year-old Dremel: WOW!!! I thought I was doing well for mine to be working like a new one at 15 years! You've got me beat twice-over! Congratulations!!!)
- VERY NICE
- THIS THING IS GREAT. SAVES ENORMOUS AMOUNT OF TIME. IT DOES GET HOT THOUGH SO IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR SO,ETHING THAT CAN GO FOR A LONG TIME THEN THIS ISN'T FOR YOU. I LIKE THE EASE OF HANDLING THIS BETTER THAN THE TRADITIONL POWER CARVERS. I WILL PROBABLY BUY ANOTHER ONE TO USE WHEN THIS ONE GETS HOT. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS.
- I've had one for two years now...
... and I love it.
Someone jokingly told me that using the Dremel was "cheating", too, and I just smiled and said "That's modern!" Old purists have their niche but cannot accomplish what new tools will permit. The Wecheer reciprocating chisel tool for Dremel is one of my favorite carving tools after 40 years of carving with everything from Swiss Army knife blades to mini chain saw disc grinders. Once you try one, you see what is so interesting. The control you get is great and a lot of fun. All this for fifty bucks!
And my Dremel is over thirty years old to boot! Highly recommended.
